The 2021 Seniors in Sobriety International Conference concluded on Wednesday October 24th. The conference was provided as a “hybrid” event with 75 seniors attending in-person at the Bahia Resort in San Diego, California and 44 attending selected Zoom events throughout the weekend. The influence of the Covid pandemic was obvious with many attendees wearing masks, and many having informed the conference committee in advance of their reluctance to travel and/or attend the event in person due to health and safety concerns.
Conference evaluations provided those in attendance praised the conference committee and the excellent choice of speakers and topics. The committee and SIS Steering Team members met immediately following the conference to share feedback and establish future planning for conferences.
